Let's get Duffy in Blue!

This lovely blue cotton strapless dress was purchased in Rwanda from my favorite dress guy at Kimironko Market for 3,000 francs or $6.  Check it out Hilary Duff has one too! And yes I made my earrings from Rwandan fabric.

Blair Bow

I love the TV show gossip girl and I love Leighton Meester's character Blair Waldworf, who in her high school years always wore headbands.  It seems this trend is in for all ages in Thailand and I love wearing them!

It isn't easy being GREEN

What two things do Kesha and JLo have in common?  Well, besides their great style, its their love for lime green.  I happen to also love this color especially in dress form.  I found a crazy lime green dress myself at a used clothing market in Thailand for 70baht or about $2.30.  The outfit was to wear to a music festival I attended a few months ago in Thailand, I wanted to be unique.  Though the outfit is not as crazy as Kesha's, I like the think the outfit was inspired by her with a little Avril Lavigne mix!

Rocking the Igitenge!!

This piece is dedicated to Rwandan igitenge (fabric).  I left Rwanda almost 8 months ago.  Unfortunately all my Rwanda fabric dresses are in Maryland and I am in Thailand but there are lots of celebs rocking Rwandan fabric including Beyonce, Rhianna, Blake Lively, and Gwen Stafani.  This just makes me want to go back to Rwanda or Africa to have more dresses made!  The last four photos are dresses that I had made, I have about 30 others but found pictures of 4.

Birthday Swirl Sequin Dress

Happy 25th Birthday to me (about 2 months ago)!  I think its time I start this blog back up again.  Now that I am living in Thailand this is not African used clothing market finds.  Some things may be used or new.
For my first entry in a long time I will post my birthday dress found new in a shop in Surin Thailand for 200 baht about $7.00.  I found similar dresses everywhere.  Here is Mary J. Blige and Taylor Swift rocking dresses similar to mine.  I also found a model wearing an even more similar version.  Hope you enjoy, I'm back to work as a shopper celebrity dress matcher!!
